Adding a backdoor to your site is fairly easy. You can either add our code to your own webpage, or create your own. For help, we have the simple way first, and the the information needed for more experienced HTML experts.
Simple Door
To use this simple door, cut/paste this into your web page. Then edit the entrance message on the line that says "Enters the Room through the Backdoor" to say what you would want the user to say when they enter. That's it! It's just that simple!
More Detailed Explanation
The above HTML code accesses a script on our server which handles all the redirection for you. To add more rooms, simply use the roomname off of the final destination url (without the section area) as a new selection in the room pulldown. The redirection script (door_redirect.cgi) takes the information and assembles it, redirecting the user to the appropriate url to the room.
The following variables are allowed using this method:
USER HISTORY VERBOSE NOPIC AUTOSCROLL SAYS NOAV REGISTER ACTION COLOR TCOLOR TPREFIX MOOD WHOTO
Other values input will be dropped by the door redirection. As new values are added to the system the allowed list will be expanded as necessary.
Feel free to add additional colors and moods to the list above. They are permitted, and passed by the redirector.
